Privacy policy

Last updated 17 September 2026. Applies to the FamilyDose Android app (com.familydose.app) and this website.

In short: FamilyDose does not collect, upload or share any personal data. Everything you enter stays on your phone, and only you can see it.

1. Information you enter

To work, the app stores the details you add, including:

All of this is saved in the app's local storage on your device. It is never sent to the developer, a server, a cloud service or any third party.

2. Health information

Medicine names, doses, schedules and dose history are health-related information. FamilyDose keeps this information on your device only. The developer cannot access, view or recover it.

3. Permissions

FamilyDose asks for these permissions only to make its features work. None of them are used to collect or transmit data.

4. Internet, analytics and third parties

The app works fully offline and does not send data anywhere. It does not include advertising or analytics tools.

Some buttons open other apps: Send Feedback opens your email app, video guides open YouTube, and links to other apps open Google Play. Those services have their own privacy policies.

5. Backups

When you choose Export Data, FamilyDose creates a backup file on your device, usually in the Documents or Download folder. You decide where that file goes. It contains your medicine and family information, so share it only with people you trust.

6. Keeping and deleting your data

Your data stays on your device for as long as the app is installed. You can delete it at any time:

Both permanently erase everything the app has stored. Because there is no account or server, there is no copy held anywhere else. Export a backup first if you want to keep your records.

7. Security

Your information is protected by your phone's own security. You can also turn on a 4-digit PIN lock in FamilyDose Settings.

8. Children's privacy

FamilyDose does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Parents can record medicines for their children, and that information stays on the parent's device.

9. This website

This website doesn't use forms or accounts. It may use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the site, such as pages viewed and clicks. That information is not linked to the app or to anything you enter in it. See the Microsoft privacy statement.

10. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
