Privacy and data
Is my family's data private?
Yes. Everything you enter is stored only on your phone. FamilyDose has no account, no cloud sync and no servers, so nothing is uploaded.
Do I need an account or internet?
No. There's nothing to sign up for, and every feature works offline.
How do I move my data to a new phone?
In Manage, tap Export Data to save a backup file. Copy the file to your new phone, install FamilyDose, then tap Import Data in Manage and choose the file.
What happens if I clear all data or uninstall?
All medicines, dose history, organiser items and settings are permanently deleted. This can't be undone, so export a backup first.
Can I lock the app?
Yes. Go to Settings, then Security, and turn on App PIN Lock to protect FamilyDose with a 4-digit PIN.
Medicines and schedules
Can I track medicines for my whole family?
Yes. Add family members in Manage, or type a new name in the Member field when adding a medicine. Use the name chips on the Dashboard to see one person's medicines.
Can I track weekly or custom schedules?
Yes. Choose daily, every few hours, weekly or monthly, or set a custom interval. For example, an interval of 168 hours is once a week.
Can I edit or delete a medicine?
Yes. Tap the medicine card, then choose Edit or Delete. Deleting also removes its dose history and reminders.
What is the Organiser for?
It keeps track of the medicines you have at home, with expiry dates, quantities and where each one is stored. It warns you when something is close to expiry.
Where can I see past doses?
Open the History tab. Finished medicines move there automatically, and Dose Report shows weekly and monthly adherence for each family member.
Reminders
When will I be reminded?
FamilyDose notifies you 5 minutes before each dose. If a dose isn't confirmed, it follows up. You can snooze for 15 minutes or reschedule to a specific time.
Why are my reminders late or missing?
Android can delay or block reminders to save battery. In Settings, open Notification Permissions and allow notifications, precise alarms, unrestricted battery use and display over other apps. On some phones you also need to allow Auto-start. See the reminder checklist.
Why set a custom notification sound?
A loud, alarm-style sound helps you tell a medicine reminder apart from everyday notifications. Set it in Settings under Set Notification Sound.

Yes, FamilyDose is free to download from Google Play.
